Fragrances are such a wonderful essence of
nature. For the person choosing to wear a fragrance, there is a two fold
effect. For the wearer, they are subtly enfolded with a sense of confidence and
well being. For those who smell them, fragrances evoke special memories and
resulting emotions that lift the spirits.
There are hundreds of fragrance cosmetics choices.
Depending on the occasion and the preference of scents, the selection is wide
and varied. In recent years, the number of celebrities that have created their
own designer perfumes and colognes has increased. There are some companies that
carry the latest designer fragrances along with discontinued or hard to find
brands. Scented body lotions and soaps are another aspect of the world of
fragrance to choose from.
On a personal note, I recall a shopping trip to a
large city with my daughter several years ago. We entered a department store
and stopped at the perfume counter display. A sales associate gave me a sample
of a scent that turned out to become a favorite. Sometime later, I attempted to
buy that particular name brand product in a department store near my home (in
northern Michigan).
The store did not carry that name brand.
A few years later, with the advent of the
internet, I decided to try to locate that "old favorite" brand name
perfume and I found a company that carried it! I placed my order and within a
short time received my purchase. To be able to enjoy that wonderful scent once
again was a definite lift to my spirits!
